After reflecting on my first visit to the Montgomery Cancer Center yesterday, I felt like I was going through Hospice orientation.  I definitely appreciate the doctor's candor, but the treatment seemed more geared toward giving a little more time via only chemotherapy.   He expressed I had 6 months with no treatment, but couldn't guarantee or even predict how much longer.  My thoughts are I need more proactive measures ... a fighter!  I didn't sense that.   Thus, I reached out to a medical professional that is a cyclist in Birmingham.   Hopefully this will bear some fruit as I need a doctor and staff that will turn over every rock and won't quit until the clock hits zero!  More thoughts later.
